Perth is soon to become the gateway for South Americans traveling to Australia and Asia. A new flight path lasting less than 15 hours and traveling nearby Antarctica will link Perth with Buenos Aires direct.
This news could have a major impact on the number of people visiting Perth. There is substantial traffic between South America and Asia, with approximately 1 million people per year travelling between the two continents.
Currently Argentine airline Norwegian Air Argentina is the first to undertake the process of developing the route. The Buenos Aires to Perth direct flight has been approved and the airline is looking to ensure it can travel onto Singapore and other Asian cities before its finalized.
